Donate and support

Help us in our mission to support the welfare of Irish Australians.

Donate to the Irish Australian Support Association

Ongoing donations are vital to IASAQ. Donations help us deliver essential support to people in crisis or distress, and to maintain the wide range of programs we offer for Irish and Irish Australian communities across Queensland.

Donating to the Irish Australian Support Association Queensland (IASAQ) supports a range of valuable initiatives aimed at helping the Irish community in Queensland. Here are a few key reasons to consider donating:

Supporting Irish Migrants & Expats

IASAQ plays a vital role in assisting Irish migrants who are settling in Queensland. This includes offering support advice and assistance to individuals facing challenges such as:

  • Accommodation: Helping with housing information and resources.
  • Employment Advice: Providing job search guidance and connections.
  • Legal Support: Helping with understanding visa, work, and residency requirements, referral to our Migration Agent.
  • Supports with Mental health: IASAQ have a weekly cultural support group that is open to everyone.

Helping Vulnerable Individuals

  • Support Services: Donations help fund IASAQ’s Outreach Services for vulnerable members of the Irish community, such as our Seniors or those facing personal crises. We provide emotional and practical support to those who may be isolated or in need.
  • Information & Resources: IASAQ offers vital resources on topics like healthcare, welfare, and immigration, which are especially helpful for newcomers to Australia.

Community Building

IASAQ fosters a sense of community for Irish people and those with Irish heritage. Your donation helps to organise:

  • Social Events: Including St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, cultural nights, and social meetups, which provide a place for community to connect.
  • Cultural Promotion: Supporting events that promote Irish culture, like our Irish Language Group and keeping the spirit of Ireland alive in Queensland.

Information and Educational sessions

IASAQ advocates for the rights of the Irish community in Queensland, offering educational workshops, information sessions, and raising awareness about issues that affect Irish citizens. Your donation helps to:
