Irish Language Group

Discover the beauty of the Irish language with Gaeilge Brisbane.

As Gaeilge (About us)

Buailimid le chéile oíche Dé Ceadaoin, gach coicís ar 6.30pm, chun Gaeilige a labairt agus a fhoghlaim. Is grúpa beag é, ochtar go deichniúr, ó ar fud na cathrach. Tá cuid daoine líofa agus tá cupla focail ag chuid eile. Bímid ag caint le chéile agus uaireanta ag léamh nó ag canadh. Bíonn cupán tae no caifé againn ar ndóigh, agus craic go léir. Ta fáilte roimh gach duine, le beagán no mórán Gaeilge. Níl airgead ar bith de dhíth oraibh.

Gaeilge Brisbane meets fortnightly to speak and learn Irish. We are a small group of 8 to 10 people from around Brisbane. Some of us are fluent speakers, while others know only a few words in Irish. We talk together, sometimes we read or sing a song. We have a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy the craic.

Whether you know a little or a lot of Irish, our meetings are free to attend and open to all.

Meetings: Every second Wednesday, 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm
IASAQ offices, 5 Abingdon Street, South Brisbane.

Pop Up Gaeltacht: Last Sunday of each month, 12pm to 3 pm, Gilhooley's Pub, Albert Street, Brisbane.

Get Involved!

While all the activities are free, we encourage you to become an IASAQ member.
